Armthorpe – Life Events

 

We welcome everyone who comes along to the church of St Leonard and St Mary, Armthorpe and we are eager to help you celebrate your wedding, yours or your child’s christening or make arrangements for a loved one’s funeral.

 

Weddings

If you would like to arrange your wedding in our beautiful church building, please come along to the church office (through the door marked ‘Vestry’) on any Thursday evening between 6.00pm and 7.00pm. There you can book the date and we can talk with you about the details that would make your wedding special and unique.
In order to satisfy legal requirements, you will need to bring with you proof of your nationality and proof of where you live. If you do not live in Armthorpe, or if you have been married before, there will be other documentation needed. Please contact the Rector (Revd Jan Foden) on 01302 831231 for more information.

Christenings

If you would like to arrange a Christening for your child or for yourself please come along to church at one of the following times:
  • Thursday evenings between 6.00pm and 7.00pm (please come to the church office, through the door marked ‘Vestry’)
  • Wednesday mornings between 10.00am and 11.30am (please come through the main door)
We shall talk together about what it means to be christened and what will happen in the service.

Funerals

If you would like to arrange a funeral for your loved one in this church, please let your funeral director know. They will get in touch with us directly and then the person who will be conducting the service will arrange to meet with you. In the meantime, you are very welcome to contact the Rector (Revd Jan Foden) on 01302 831231. As soon as we hear about your loss we shall be remembering you in our prayers.
